Our verdict on Axi
Axi was founded in 2007 and says it now serves more than 1.4 million traders in over 100 countries. UK clients are served by an FCA-authorised company (FRN 509746).
Axi keeps things simple with two accounts. The Standard account has no commission and spreads from 0.68 pips on EUR/USD. The Pro account has spreads from 0 pips plus a US$4.50 round-trip commission. There is no required minimum deposit (Axi recommends US$100), and card, PayPal and bank deposits are free.
Platform choice has improved: as well as MetaTrader 4, UK clients can now use MetaTrader 5 and Axi's own trading platform, plus the Axi Copy Trading app. Research is lighter than at the big UK brokers, but Autochartist, free eBooks and the Axi Academy help newer traders.
