XTB is a user-friendly broker built around its excellent xStation platform, with commission-free standard pricing and very good educational content.
Our verdict on XTB
XTB was founded in 2002, is listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and serves UK clients through XTB Limited, which is authorised by the FCA (FRN 522157). It has grown fast and now reports more than 2.9 million clients.
Costs are simple. There is no commission on CFDs (costs are in the spread, from 0.8 pips on major forex pairs), no minimum deposit, and deposits and withdrawals are free. For investors, XTB offers commission-free shares and ETFs up to €100,000 of monthly turnover, plus a Stocks and Shares ISA and a Cash ISA.
The main limitation is platform choice. XTB only offers its own xStation platform and app, with no MetaTrader, TradingView or spread betting. xStation is polished and beginner-friendly, but traders who rely on Expert Advisors will need to look elsewhere. An inactivity fee applies after 12 months without trading (ISAs excluded).
