Our verdict on Tickmill
Tickmill UK Ltd is part of Tickmill Group and is authorised and regulated by the FCA (FRN 717270). It is a lean, low-cost broker aimed squarely at active forex and CFD traders.
The Raw account is the main attraction: spreads from 0.0 pips plus a commission of US$3 per lot per side, one of the lowest commission rates among UK brokers. In Tickmill's own worked example, EUR/USD trades at a 0.2-pip spread. If you prefer no commission, the Classic account has spreads from 1.6 pips. Both accounts start from a 100 (GBP/USD/EUR) deposit, and Tickmill charges no deposit or withdrawal fees.
Tickmill is focused rather than broad. CFDs run on MT4, MT5 and TradingView, and there is no proprietary platform, spread betting or ISA. But Tickmill UK also offers futures and options, and an Interactive Brokers-powered multi-asset account, for traders who want more.
