Pepperstone combines low trading costs with some of the broadest regulatory coverage in the industry, making it a well-rounded choice for most forex traders.
Our verdict on Pepperstone
Pepperstone was founded in Melbourne in 2010 and serves UK clients through an FCA-authorised company (FRN 684312). It has become one of the most popular brokers for active traders, and says it has more than 900,000 accounts across its group.
Its big draw is price. On the Razor account, EUR/USD has averaged 0.1 pips (August 2026 data) with a fixed commission of £2.25 per lot per side for GBP accounts on MT4/MT5. If you prefer no commission, the Standard account and the spread betting account build costs into the spread instead. There are no account or inactivity fees, and deposits and withdrawals are free except international bank-wire withdrawals.
Platform choice is excellent: TradingView, MT4, MT5, cTrader and Pepperstone's own web platform and app. What you don't get is share dealing, ISAs or pensions. Pepperstone is a pure spread betting and CFD provider, so long-term investors will need a second account elsewhere.
